Denola Grey, My favourite Blogger

Denola Grey real name Denola Adepentun is a fashion blogger and consultant, an actor, model and t v presenter. He was born in Lagos but hails from Ondo state, he is a graduate of Media business from Baylor University, Texas. He moved to Nigeria for his National Youth service. He was only 18 when he stepped into the world of fashion. I did a little digging on his "biography <Media and Personal life>". He has achieved a lot in the fashion world. Though a Fashion blogger, he is my favouriteThese are the things that makes Denola Grey my favourite blogger.

1. His Fashion Taste:

He has a really high taste in fashion. His fashion blogging has assisted a lot in the male's fashion world. I read somewhere on a blog that he won the best dressed during his university days. His style is unique and different and always refining. I hope to one day interview him.

2. His Blog:

He started his blog in 2014, then there weren't many male fashion bloggers. He coined the name Grey from the main cast in the movie 50 Shades of Grey "Christian Grey". He replaced Christian with his name Denola. He became a Male Fashion Consultants to many other bloggers including Bella Naija. He also expresses his passion for music and fashion on his blog, which I do visit most times. Also that same year, he got his first Tv offer with Ebony Life

3. His Consistency:

His consistent posts on his blog and on social media pages. Being a fashion blogger is not an easy job, but he combines them with his personal life and daily activities and still consistent with his updates. He is seriously hard working, posting back to back on Instagram. Being a male fashion blogger, I'm quite sure it hasn't been easy but he still pulls through.

The Unanswered Questions?

Alright, as humans we are naturally curious. Well, a lot had me thinking of lots of things- things like family, school, society and yeah, the world. Note..I'm not scientifically bothered about them. I'm just naturally bothered about them. Starting out with the SOCIETY. It's funny that I grew up in a very disciplined home, where you get punished in the "African way" whenever you misbehaved. Our parents were mostly burdened about the character we displayed in public, our dressing, our mode of approach etc. They had this"what will people say?" syndrome . Yeah, I called it a syndrome, because to me it was, in the sense that they just get carried away with what others-the society- thinks about their family. It's actually general, it spreads like a disease to many other African home. The old African way, leave you with lots of bitter sweet memorable experiences that affects your behaviour in public.   Honestly, those modes of training came with lots ...

The main point to pin point here is the audience whom you are sending the message ...

Life With Different Faces : Ajegunle As A Case study

AJEGUNLE I took a day tour around Ajegunle. Before embarking on this day adventure, I did my home research about the ins and outs of Ajegunle. I set off as early as 8: 45 am. I knew if I don't, I would get stuck in traffic. Unfortunately for me , I still got stuck in traffic. The cause of it?, I still don't know. I stayed in traffic for over 30 minutes , from palmgroove to Onipanu before the gridlock was cleared. Few hours, I was in Ajegunle. Few things about Ajegunle: It's a neighbourhood or community located at the south of  Lagos, bordered by Apapa Wharf at the west. It's popularly known as the ghetto city of Lagos or the AJ city. Regionally governed by a Local government, which as its secretariat known as Ajeromi/Ifelodun Local government Secretariat at No,1 Bale street, Boundary, Ajegunle, Lagos.  Different ethic groups resides together at Ajegunle and it has a very popular bus stop called Boundary, where its market is located at.
